COURSE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT

Zubeda trains individuals, after hours, to become teachers to obtain a National Certificate in Early Childhood Development (NQF Level $ & NQF Level 5). The Teacher Training College incorporates and is a satellite campus for the Compass Academy of learning(CAL) which is accredited with ETDP Seta as well as SACE.

The Modules for the National Diploma for Early Childhood Development include the following:-

• Module One

Develop & Manage the ECD Program
Organise a program of learning;
Apply workplace communication skills;
Develop & Apply Acedemic Literacy Skills.

• Module Two

Facilitate a program of learning
Mediate Active Learning in ECD

• Module Three

Facilitate Life Skills in Reception Year;
Facilitate Literacy in Reception;
Facilitate Numeracy in Reception;
Plan & Conduct Assessment;
Promote Healthy development in ECD
Identify & Respond to Learners with special needs and Barriers to Learning.

• Module Four

Facilitate an inclusive Educational Environment in ECD;
Manage Diversity in ECD;
Manage a Medium Scale ECD Service.

• Module Five

Perform Basic Life Support and First Aid Procedures.
